Over 30 measurements are taken in order to create the most precise pattern for your individual body and style. Taking into consideration your posture, fit preferences and body type, your pattern in adjusted as we move through your fitting process. We do not work from stock sizes, each garment we make is individually to the customer.
Our process is completed in a traditional manner. Once your measurements are transferred to a paper pattern, a muslin or scrap garment is created – a sample garment made from scrap fabric. This allows us (and you) to see how the garment will fit and to make any adjustments before the final garment is cut. Once your clothing is 85% completed, a basted fitting is done before the garment is delivered to you.
Custom closures and details are also handled here in our workroom. From perfectly matching piping to custom made frog closures – the details are very important to the completion of a garment- particularly for women’s clothing. With access to fine zippers, lining and buttons, we are able to make a garment unique and truly custom.
